BRADENTON - Authorities are searching for four home invaders who thanked their victims after robbing them at gunpoint last night.
Three people were sitting in the carport at 5600 24th St. W. playing checkers at 11:45 p.m. when they were approached by four men, two holding pistols. The victims were told to get on the ground and were asked, "Where's the money at?' " a Manatee County Sheriff's Office news release said.
While on the ground the victims were patted down, and one of the holdup men took an unknown amount of cash from one victim's pocket. The three were then ordered into the house, where the suspects searched two of the rooms but took nothing.
Before leaving, the suspects took a Play Station 2 from the entertainment center in the living room. They told one of the victims, "Thank you, and have a nice day,' " the release said.
Three of the four suspects were wearing all black clothing, and one wore a blue shirt. One was carrying a black semi-automatic pistol and another had a silver semi-automatic. They were last seen running north on 24th St. W and getting into a green Buick with chrome rims.
There were no injuries or shots fired.
