BRADENTON - A 28-year-old Bradenton woman was stabbed early today during a fight with a man who claimed she stole $100 from him, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.
During the 2:15 a.m. incident at a bar at 320 W. Cortez Road, Bradenton, Annie Rodriguez, 385 E. 34th Avenue Drive, allegedly struck Daniel Ortiz, 20, in the head with a beer bottle.
The fight was broken up and Rodriguez was leaving when Ortiz allegedly grabbed a knife from a table and stabbed her in the lower left abdomen, the report states.
Ortiz, whose address is unknown, was handcuffed and detained by a security officer until authorities arrived and arrested him on charges of armed aggravated battery, the report states. He is being held without bond, according to jail records.
Rodriguez was airlifted to Bayfront Medical Center, St. Petersburg, for treatment of a non-life-threatening wound, authorities said.
