BRADENTON - A woman and four children escaped injury early today when someone fired a gun into her house at 5629 E. 12th St., the Manatee County Sheriff's Office reports.
Belinda Luna, 32, and the children were in her room watching television at 12:50 a.m. when Luna heard a loud crashing sound. Investigating, she found the window in the children's room had a hole in its glass and there was a bullet on the bed.
No suspects were seen and no arrests have been made, according to the report.
Authorities also are seeking two armed suspects who fired weapons into the air outside a Bradenton convenience store early today.
A large group of individuals in parked cars or standing outside the Circle K at 904 E. 30th Ave., reported hearing 13 to 15 shots and seeing one of the suspects shooting a pistol into the air at 3:24 a.m.
Deputies flooded the area within minutes but were unable to locate the suspects, according to the report.
There were no reported injuries or property damage.
