THE DIFFERENCE: Ridgewood (3-5) was unable to stop Springstead's ground game. The Eagles ran for 168 yards, more than triple their output of 54 yards last week against River Ridge. Springstead (6-2) controlled the ball and the clock for most of the game
GAME NOTES: On their opening drive, the Rams fumbled on their own 46-yard line. The Eagles were quick to capitalize, needing only two plays to take a 7-0 lead. On their next possession, the Rams scored on a drive that included 11 running plays and passes of 14 and 28 yards from QB Scott Kujak. ... The Eagles had two more TDs in the second quarter to take a 21-7 halftime lead. After another Eagles TD in the third quarter, Kujak directed another long drive with handoffs to RB Sterling Ross and two passes on the run to WR Michael Graham. ... Ross finished with 142 yards rushing, and Kujak completed 10 of 18 passes for 155 yards. ... The offensive line, anchored by lone senior Andrew Stagner, did not allow a sack.
STAT OF THE GAME: With their conference record dropping to 1-3, the Rams were eliminated from the playoffs.
