Tips From The Trainer/Aerobic Dance
Aerobic workouts have been around for decades and Jazzercise is one of its biggest names. The cardio workouts and the music change every 14 weeks to keep participants interested and challenged, says Danielle Mazur, a Jazzercise instructor in Brandon. The dancing aspect of Jazzercise makes you forget that what you're doing is good for you, she says.
"You almost don't know you're working out," she says. "But then you take five steps and you're sweating."
This exercise focuses on the legs and core.
EXERCISE: ATTITUDE LIFTS
Turn leg out from hip and lift entire leg, point toes and inside of foot toward ceiling. Thigh should lift to 90 degrees.
Lift foot 2 to 3 feet off ground.
Hop between lifts for more intensity.
Continue for up to two minutes.
