EAST HARTFORD, Conn. - Pat White ran for two touchdowns and threw for another to help West Virginia beat Connecticut 35-13 Saturday to remain undefeated in the Big East.

The Mountaineers (6-2, 3-0) won their fifth consecutive game and snapped an 11-game home winning streak for UConn (6-3, 2-2).

White had 109 yards rushing on 21 carries, including touchdown runs of 24 and 36 yards, to move past the 4,000-yard mark for his career. He also completed 11 of 18 passes for 121 yards to go past 5,000 yards in the air.

Connecticut's Donald Brown, who went in as the nation's leading rusher with more than 165 yards per game, had 77 yards in the first half, but finished with just 82, his lowest total of the season.

West Virginia was trailing 13-7 before slotback Jock Sanders scored three touchdowns in the final 6:13 of the third quarter to help the Mountaineers take control of the game.

White began the rally by taking the Mountaineers 56 yards in six plays, hitting Sanders for a 6-yard touchdown to put West Virginia ahead 14-13.

UConn quarterback Cody Endres then overthrew D.J. Hernandez on UConn's next drive, and Brandon Hogan intercepted the ball, returning it to the UConn 33. It took the Mountaineers just four plays to make it 21-13 on a 3-yard run by Sanders.

SYRACUSE 28, LOUISVILLE 21

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Curtis Brinkley set a program single-season record with his fifth consecutive 100-yard game and Syracuse (2-6, 1-3) upset Louisville (5-3, 1-2) for the second year in a row.

Syracuse used big scoring plays from receiver Da'Mon Merkerson and freshman tailback Antwon Bailey to win just its third Big East Conference game under embattled coach Greg Robinson, now 3-22 overall in four seasons against conference foes.

Merkerson caught a 38-yard touchdown pass in the second quarter to give Syracuse a 14-7 lead at halftime.
