TAMPA - A 26-year-old man was killed Saturday morning in an exchange of gunfire with another man in the parking lot of a strip club.
John William Larry of 2709 19th Ave. E., Tampa, was thrown out of Fantasy Dolls club just before the 2:50 a.m. shooting after arguing with one of the dancers, the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office said.
He got into an altercation with a man in the parking lot of the club at 4948 N. 56th St. The argument escalated and both Larry and the other man started shooting at each other, deputies said. Numerous shots were fired, and Larry was hit and died at the scene.
Witnesses told deputies that right after the shooting, a maroon Nissan pulled up to the body and a man got out and took Larry's gun.
Anyone with any information is asked to call the sheriff's office at (813) 247-8200 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-8400.

A Lutz man discovered some live grenades Saturday while exploring the banks of the Hillsborough River.
David Sapp, 70, was at his granddaughter's birthday party at Rowlett Park when he found a rusty grenade with its powder bored out. Grandson Aaron Coggins, 15, spotted another, one with a pin.
"When I realized it might be live and not a dummy, I decided I better leave it alone," Sapp said.
At 1:05 p.m. he called 911, and the Tampa Police Department Bomb Team responded.
Police found two more grenades, said Lt. Ron McMullen. "At least two, maybe three were live." All four were removed to be safely detonated.

LARGO - A caregiver was arrested late Friday after she left an assisted-living facility unattended and an elderly woman was injured.
Episania Fitzgerald told Pinellas County sheriff's deputies she left another resident of the facility in charge when she went to provide home health care services elsewhere.
Deputies say Fitzgerald, 60, of 10299 113th St. N. in Largo, was gone for more than two hours. During her absence, an 88-year-old fell on the bathroom floor. A resident called 911, and when Pinellas Suncoast Fire Rescue arrived, workers determined no one was tending the facility.
Fitzgerald was charged with one count of abuse and neglect of an elderly person, a second-degree felony, deputies said. She also was charged with possession of Vicodin, records show. She was being held at Pinellas County Jail, with bail set at $12,000.
