Luis Fidel Garcia, a felon, entered a Tampa home Saturday morning with a black semiautomatic pistol and wound up shooting two people with one bullet, Hillsborough County deputies say.
Garcia entered the home at 1906 S. 47th St. about 3:45 a.m.
He argued with ex-girlfriend Belkis Valdez, 43, who lives at the home, about the presence of Jesus Pacheco, 35, there.
Garcia was told that Pacheco and Zandra Dixon, 45, were at the home as a couple.
Garcia, 39, of 3315 S. 73rd St. in Tampa, then began punching Pacheco and got out the pistol and fired it, deputies say. The bullet struck Dixon in the chest, exited her back and lodged in Valdez's left hip, a Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office news release states.
Garcia left the scene.
He has warrants for his arrest on two counts of aggravated battery and one count each of aggravated battery-domestic violence, shooting within an occupied dwelling and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
Dixon and Valdez were taken to Tampa General Hospital with injuries that aren't life-threatening.
Those with information on his whereabouts can call deputies at (813) 247-8200 or Crime Stoppers at (800) 873-8400.
