TAMPA - The city's entire reclaimed water system will be temporarily shut down beginning tomorrow morning through late Saturday afternoon, utility officials said today.
Reclaimed water will not be available to municipal customers during this time.
Officials said the shutdown is part of a routine maintenance program to improve the reclaimed water quality and prepare for systemwide flushing early next year.
The shutdown will not affect many households. Only a fraction of residential customers, about 3,100 out of 100,000, are connected to the city's reclaimed-water system.
