A woman crashed into an oncoming car and motorcycle in Hernando County Monday evening with her toddler in the car, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers say Emily Santiago, 34, of Lake City, was driving her 1999 Dodge Intrepid southbound on Cobb Road about 6:20 p.m., just north of Old Cobb Road, when she sideswiped a northbound 1991 Oldmobile Cutlass driven by Julio Cervantes, 49, of Masaryktown.
Then Santiago hit Allen Greiner, 51, of Brooksville, who was riding his 1993 Harley-Davidson motorcycle, troopers said. Greiner was thrown from the bike. The motorcycle soon erupted into flames, and Hernando County Fire Department put it out.
Greiner was flown by helicopter to St. Joseph's Hospital, where he was in stable condition this morning.
Cervantes had minor injuries.
Santiago's 2-year-old son was given to relatives after the crash. She faces charges of child abuse, driving under the influence, four counts of DUI property damage and Injury, and driving with a suspended license.
