4:53 p.m.: Neither rain, nor snow, nor late arrival could keep four absentee ballots from reaching their destination Tuesday.
Rick Boggs, an employee of the U.S. Postal Service who works at the Interbay postal station in South Tampa, said he took it upon himself to personally deliver the four ballots after they arrived this morning.
Boggs didn't mind going out of his way, either. He lives in Sun City Center, but made a quick stop Tuesday afternoon in Brandon.
"I said I will drop them off on my way home from work just to make sure they get counted," Boggs said, as he left the Hillsborough County Supervisor of Elections office on Falkenburg Road. "Everybody deserves to have their vote counted."
