Big Cheers For Obama

8:52 p.m. At a party in downtown Tampa, the room is starting to fill up as invited guests pull up chairs in front of two big-screen TVs.
All are watching network coverage of the election returns and when a state is called in favor of Sen. Obama, you hear big cheers from this room. Right now, there are a few hundred people here but more than a thousand are expected before the night is over.
This party is for dedicated volunteers, staff members and local elected leaders. Florida CFO Alex Sink is playing hostess here. She steps to the podium for occasional updates and so far, those are what has drawn the most applause.
