3:30 p.m.: Joyce Sharp of Clearwater saw the news reports about the early voting lines, some of them nearly two hours long, and decided she wanted no part of it.
"That's one reason I waited until today instead of early voting," she said.
Sharp said she has voted at Precinct 532 at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, State Road 580 and Belcher Road, for about a dozen years. "We have never, ever waited to vote here," she said. This year proved no different.
Despite the lack of lines, Sharp said she thinks the turnout for the election will be high between the early voters and today's voters.
"I work in Oldsmar at the Cracker Barrel [restaurant] and just about everybody coming in today had a voter sticker," she said.
