1:03 p.m.: Brian Mendenhall feels like he has the power.
Mendenhall, 21, just voted for the first time at Kate Jackson Recreation Center in Hyde Park.
The 21-year-old auto mechanic voted for John McCain because he feels the senator is the right choice for America.
He said his vote is important because the election is going to be close.
"I'd say the odds are 50-50," he says of McCain's race against Barack Obama. "I mean, it's close."
