<7:05 p.m. Disappointed voters seeking freebies can be spotted wandering the University Mall. It seems the Ben and Jerry's ice cream shop at the mall closed five weeks ago leaving area voters without their free scoop of ice cream for voting. The woman at the mall information desk said she's been questioned all evening about the location of the ice cream shop.
And in the upstairs food court at Chik-fil-a, voters are getting a free drink, not a free chicken sandwich available at other select locations. Connie Anderson was unhappy about the news.
"This is the second Chik-Fil-A I visited," she said. "The store on Dale Mabry isn't giving anything out either."
But all is not lost freebie seekers, the University Mall's Starbucks is still serving up free coffee.
