9:58 The reason for the delay in tabulating early votes in Hillsborough County is because the Supervisor of Elections Office is trying to upload both early vote data and live vote results as precincts close, said elections office spokeswoman Mia McCormick.
The early vote is being broken into chunks, McCormick said, to avoid crashing the computer system.
As of 9:33 p.m., one precinct at the University of South Florida remained open because people who were in line at 7 p.m. still hadn't been able to vote, she said.
As of 9:45 p.m., the vote tabulating was still stuck at 126 of 384 precincts.
Elections supervisor Buddy Johnson was still at USF, McCormick said, addressing issues there. She said Johnson has been in contact with people at the supervisor's office on Falkenburg Road.
McCormick said a lot of students requested address changes today at USF when they arrived to vote. However, she added, "that's typical on college campuses."
