4 p.m.: With three hours remaining before polls in Hillsborough County close, voting apparently has proceeded with no interruptions, according to Mia McCormick, a spokeswoman for the supervisor of elections.
From interviews with voters, it appears the major frustration has been among those who showed up at polls only to find their names are missing. That requires a call or a trip to the supervisor of elections' office to remedy, with some having to follow the route of voting via provisional ballot, which election officials must confirm in the coming days.
Another problem that arose today was that some precincts did not hand out complete ballots. The second page was missing.
In a few instances, equipment failure or operator error on scanning machines created a problem for some voters. Most of those circumstances apparently were handled fairly quickly.
