Land O' Lakes Family Shut Out At Polls

7:45 p.m.: Amanda Reyes, 19, says she missed her first chance to vote for president by minutes.

Worse, she says, she arrived at the Collier Parkway Rec Center polling place minutes before the 7 p.m. deadline, but poll workers would not let her vote.

Or her mom, Amanda. Or her fiancé, Richard Rust.

"We went to go vote in Land 'O Lakes and showed up at the Collier Parkway Rec Center at 6:58 p.m., at the door," she says. "They said it was 7 p.m. on their clocks. I said it is a federal law and they have to let us vote, they said it is 7 on our clocks. Even people at the counter said it is ridiculous."
