3:27 p.m. Candidates for the Cory Lake Isles Community Development District know how to keep campaign volunteers happy: Feed them.
Adam Ringhof, the husband of CDD candidate Kerri Ringhof, has had one mission today.
He was in charge of getting enough pizza to feed his wife, CDD candidate Dan Morford and about 10 sign-toting campaign supporters who have been camped out all day at Precinct 363 at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church on Cross Creek Boulevard in New Tampa.
Morford and candidate David Burman are trying to unseat two incumbents on the taxing authority board. Kerri Ringhof is running against David Pardue for the seat being vacated by Cory Lake Isles developer Gene Thomason.
"Today is our independence day," Adam Ringhof said. "For 17 years our community has been ruled by one person."
