The Party Is Just Getting Started

10:41 p.m. Even though it's not official, everyone in this room thinks it's a Barack Obama victory. I'm at the Democratic election night event at the Marriott Waterside in downtown Tampa. The crowd steadily grew tonight and right now, it's a packed house. Folks are watching two big-screen TVs and waiting for more blue on the maps. A Katrina survivor recruited to come and volunteer in the Bay area for Barack Obama let out one of the biggest screams of the night. He drew a crowd as he showed unbridled pleasure in watching the way the election returns are going. This party does not appear to be wrapping up anytime soon.
