2:30 p.m.: Joy Wright, 43, is a teacher and left school early to come vote. She was in and out with no line at Lake Maggiore Baptist Church in St. Petersburg.
She tried to vote early a couple of times, but she is a parent and couldn't stand in line that long away from her kids.
"I was a little disappointed that Pinellas County only opened three polling places," she says. "I think that was a little inconsiderate" considering the projections of a large turnout.
That was part of the reason she says she voted against Republican Deborah Clark, the incumbent supervisor of elections for the county.
Wright says she is an Obama supporter.
"I have reviewed both candidates well and he stood for what I needed in my life," she says.
Two Obama volunteers said there were large crowds this morning, but it hasn't been crowded since about 9 a.m.
