12:10 p.m.: In the nearly empty parking lot of Emmanuel Baptist Church, Jennings Causey talked about the future.
"My mother told me 20 years ago that if I lived long enough I would see a woman president of this country," he said.
He can see that coming true in a couple years if John McCain wins, then dies in office.
He believes this election will be so close that even a rural area like Thonotosassa could play a role in the outcome.
"This could change the course of the world," he said.
The voting went smoothly for the most part. The exception was some of the amendments. "One or two items were not in the English language," Causey said.
