Published: November 4, 2008

2:06 p.m.: University of South Florida student Jotham Fady, 23, lives at the Graham Park Apartments, 305 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. St. S., near Precincts 131 and 132, in St. Petersburg.

He voted for Obama, saying America needs a change, and he thinks Obama is the better candidate to bring that about.

An Obama volunteer standing in front of the polling place, Johnathan Keyser, 37, has been there since 6:30 a.m. He said there was a small crowd, about 30 people, when polls opened at 7 a.m.

His wife, Jennifer Cowan, is a poll worker inside and told him that the election officials said they had seen more voters by midmorning than they'd seen the last few elections combined.
