6:16 p.m.: Determined to vote, Dorothy Chance sat in her electric wheelchair for the 30-minute wait to cast her ballot.
When it was complete, she smiled.
"It's wonderful," Dorothy Chance said, referring to having an opportunity to vote.
Her husband, Ed, was just as pleased.
"Yep, and we voted for Obama," Ed Chance said.
The Chances are residents at John Knox Village Retirement Center on East Fletcher Avenue.
"It's great to have your precinct in your dinner hall," said Dorothy Chance, 72.
Ed Chance, 73, who voted this morning, waited in line with his wife until she voted this evening.
