TAMPA - A crate sent from Tempe, Ariz., to Suraj V. Gonga's office in Riverview was filled with about 100 pounds of marijuana, Hillsborough County deputies say.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office's narcotics unit intercepted the crate.
Deputies arrested Gonga at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Gonga, 32, of Riverview, was charged with trafficking in marijuana, conspiracy to traffic in marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The marijuana has a street value of $100,000, deputies say.
Deputies say Gonga signed a false name when receiving the transport document and that his cell phone number was on the document. A search of Gonga's office led deputies to a scale and baggies, which each had marijuana residue, a criminal arrest affidavit states.
Gonga remained in Orient Road Jail today. His bail has been set at $25,000.
