Bicyclist Dies After Being Hit By 2 Vehicles

TAMPA - A 47-year-old man died tonight after he was struck by two cars as he was crossing Waters Avenue, the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office said.
Jorge Concepcion, 6411 Yorkshire Road, Tampa, died at the scene, authorities said.
Concepcion was riding a Huffy bicycle and crossing Waters just east of Hanley Road about 6:11 p.m. when he was hit by a 2002 Honda sport utility vehicle driven by Joshua Luke Bailey, 33, of Valrico, deputies said.
Bailey stopped his SUV and remained at the scene. Concepcion was ejected from the bicycle and landed in the center lane, where he was hit by another vehicle, which fled the scene, deputies say.
The second vehicle is described as a four-door sedan, dark teal or green similar to a Honda Accord.
