Police responded to the 400 block of North Hernandez Court shortly after midnight because of a fight between Lee and his girlfriend, an affidavit states. Lee had choked the woman with both hands, the affidavit states.
When officers moved to arrest Lee, Lee grabbed his grandfather out of a chair and "used him as a shield between himself and police," the affidavit states.
