TAMPA - A U.S. Marshals fugitive task force nabbed two of Quebec's 10 most wanted fugitives today in Tampa, where they arrested a Canadian couple wanted in the slaying of their baby.
Flotvelyne Jean-Louis, 19, and her boyfriend Casy Pierre Mesidor, 26, were arrested at an apartment at 3628 Jefferson Commons Drive.
Authorities said that Jean-Louis brought her 9-month-old baby to the Montreal Children's Hospital in respiratory distress, where it died 10 days later. An autopsy indicated the boy had been abused and violently shaken.
The couple, citizens of Haiti, were charged with murder in February but absconded before they could be arrested.
The couple will appear before a U.S. Magistrate later today.
