Students Learn Value Of Voting

Sanders Memorial Elementary School in Land O' Lakes held a mock presidential election Wednesday.
Students had to present their "voter registration cards" and sign a registration log before being issued their ballots. They cast their ballots in voting booths set up in the media center.
Student volunteers from several classes ran the election and supervised the voting process. In the end, students elected John McCain 166-159.
