TAMPA - Homeowners who switched their clocks last weekend but neglected to switch their sprinkler timers are risking fines.
Because of one-day-a-week watering restrictions, based on a home's address, residents in Hillsborough, Pasco and Pinellas counties can only irrigate on specific days at specific times.
The Southwest Florida Water Management District issued a warning that those who don't reset their sprinkler systems face a fine of $100 for a first offense, up to $500. Failure to pay the fines gets you a summons to appear before a code enforcement special magistrate.
