PALM HARBOR - Dunedin lineman Kyle Pedretty recovered a Palm Harbor fumble with just more than 50 seconds on the clock to seal the 30-28 victory against Palm Harbor University, creating a three-way tie for the Class 5A-District 9 championship.
Countryside (6-3, 3-1), which beat East Lake 38-3 on Friday, Palm Harbor (6-3, 3-1) and Dunedin (7-2, 3-1) will gather Monday night at Dunedin to break the tie, with the district winner and runner-up advancing to the playoffs.
Dunedin junior linebacker Ali Cheaib picked up a fumble on a fake punt back for the go-ahead TD with 3:55 left in the game, and then intercepted Sean Shelton in the end zone with less than two minutes left in the game, leading the way for the Falcons.
Quarterback Ryan Singer rushed for two TDs, and threw 10 passes for 90 yards including a TD. Kicker T.J. Day added a field goal in the fourth quarter.

LARGO - The host Packers went to the air with two touchdown passes to vault past Gibbs. Myrick Gwynn had a 29-yard catch from Ryan Eppes, who had to be carted off the field with rib injuries in the first half. Later, Mike Lang caught a 32-yard pass from Jamar Riley. A bench-clearing shoving match broke out in the fourth quarter.

TARPON SPRINGS - After holding Springstead to a 24-yard field goal on its first overtime possession, Tarpon Springs senior quarterback Danny Reyes improvised on a busted pass play and scampered 10 yards into the end zone for a victory and the Class 4A-District 8 runner-up spot.
The win puts Tarpon Springs (7-2, 4-1) into the playoffs, eliminated Springstead (6-3, 3-2) and gave Land O' Lakes (7-2, 4-1) the title.
The Spongers grabbed a 17-14 lead with 2:25 left in regulation, but Springstead marched 90 yards down field and forced OT with a 30-yard Nate Schafer field goal.
Reyes was 24 of 34 for 252 yards and a TD.

PINELLAS PARK - Brandon Wilcox's return of a blocked punt proved to be the difference. Jacob Bellman added a 3-yard run and Gerard Atkins caught a 10-yard pass from Jesse Hevia for the visiting Rebels' scoring.
NORTHEAST 42, OSCEOLA 28
SEMINOLE - Juarez Wynn's three touchdowns, two on the ground, helped Northeast vault Osceola. The win by the Vikings forced a three-way tie for the Class 4A-District 9 title. Northeast, Bradenton Southeast and Lakewood will play a tiebreaker Monday at Lakewood at 7 p.m.
Wynn scored on runs of 63 and 41 yards.

ST. PETERSBURG - The host Spartans jumped out to a 20-0 lead in the first half. The win resulted in a three-way tie between Lakewood, Bradenton Southeast and Northeast in Class 4A-District 9. The tiebreaker will be held at Lakewood on Monday at 7 p.m.
Victor Perkins hauled in a 53-yard pass from Jacquez Jenkins for the first Lakewood score followed by a 92-yard interception return by Burness Griffin and a Bernard Reedy 31-yard catch from Jenkins.
ST. PETE. CATHOLIC 39,
LAKE PLACID 14
LAKE PLACID - Junior tailback Keelyan Bryant rushed for 134 yards and a touchdown, and quarterback Chris McCay completed nine of 14 passes for 132 yards and a score to lead St. Petersburg Catholic past Lake Placid.
The Class 2A-District 5 win improved the Barons to 2-8, 1-4, while the loss dropped the Green Dragons to 1-7, 0-5.
St. Petersburg Catholic scored on its first possession on a 32-yard reverse by wide receiver Julian Smith, and extended its lead on a Bryant 7-yard run midway through the first quarter. Jon Halapio bulled his way for a 6-yard touchdown to give the Barons a 19-0 halftime lead.
