THE DIFFERENCE: Freedom sophomore QB Josh Grady completed 19 of 27 passes for 333 yards. East Bay didn't complete any passes.
GAME NOTES: Grady hit sophomore WR Robert Lohnes on a 40-yard bomb to set up his 6-yard touchdown on a quarterback keeper. ... Grady completed his first four passes for 85 yards, but threw an interception to DB Calvin Sanders on his fifth attempt. ... East Bay senior Devontay Oglesby picked off a second Grady pass in the end zone on second-and-goal. Freedom junior Eric Motes picked off QB Fred Porter on his very next pass attempt to set up Freedom's second touchdown. ... East Bay failed to score after senior RB Chaz Burrows' 49-yard rush to the red zone when Forrest Meredith missed a field goal with 17 seconds left. Burrows finished with 182 yards. ... The Patriots recovered two onside kicks in the second half, allowing them to control the clock and rack up 17 points to seal the victory.
