THE DIFFERENCE: For the second week in a row Leto (3-7) scored a pair of first-quarter touchdowns to take a lead into the break. Unlike last week, the Falcons' defense shut down its opponent and claimed a district win at Blake (1-9).
GAME NOTES: On the Falcons' first drive of the game quarterback Jeremy Deering found Luis Colon for a 50-yard touchdown. ... Later in the first quarter, Leto's Fred Timmons recovered a Yellow Jackets fumble in the end zone to give the Falcons a 13-0 lead. ... With just over five minutes to play in the game Phillip Davis returned a Leto punt 58 yards to set up Blake's only score. ... Sophomore quarterback Eugene Davenport threw to Davis for the touchdown, cutting the lead to 16-6. ... Davenport carried the ball 11 times for 41 yards and threw for 94. ... Blake's Demetrius Delvin recorded 26 tackles.
STAT OF THE GAME: Leto quarterback Jeremy Deering carried the ball 22 times for 109 yards, giving the junior more than 1,000 yards rushing for the season.
