THE DIFFERENCE: River Ridge (2-7) started off slowly, allowing Central to put the first points on the board, but came back as Trevor Shoun, Shane Allen and Stavros Arianas each rushed for a touchdown apiece.
GAME NOTES: The first quarter started off right for the Bears with Steven Read scoring a 17-yard run. ... River Ridge kicker Thomas Digiovanna got the Royal Knights on the board with a 34-yard field goal before Shoun gave them the lead for good as he crept in for a 4-yard touchdown run. ... The Knights could have added to their lead, but Digiovanna missed a 21-yard field goal. ... Allen scored on a 6-yard run for a touchdown as the third quarter was winding down. ... Defensive lineman Joe Ceresoli led the attack for the Royal Knights coming up big by shutting down the Bears offensively. ... Arianas completed the scoring in the fourth quarter, as he ran in for a 6-yard touchdown. ... The Knights had a total of 5 penalties for 40 yards on the night.
STAT OF THE GAME: With 4:25 to play, Central quarterback Dallas Waugh was intercepted by River Ridge's Mario Stewart for a touchback to ice the game.
