CLEARWATER - Allegiant Air is scrapping its flights from St. Petersburg-Clearwater International Airport to Lansing, Mich., as of Feb. 4 and going to Grand Rapids, Mich., instead. The flights to Lansing from the Pinellas County airport are scheduled to resume Saturday, after a seasonal interruption.
The Grand Rapids service will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays in both directions.
Inaugural fares for the Grand Rapids flights will be $89 one way, not including fees and taxes. Those tickets must be booked by Dec. 3 for travel through April 30. After that, the lowest one-way fare will be $109.
"This is an exciting new addition for our airline and our customers as we launch the only nonstop jet service between West Michigan and Florida," Allegiant Air President and CEO Maurice J. Gallagher said in a statement.
