TAMPA - The estate of a pedestrian who was struck and killed by a newspaper delivery man filed suit today in Hillsborough County Circuit Court.
Gloria J. Meyers is suing Media General Communications Holding LLC, the Tampa Tribune, Daisy Morris and Willie James Morris.
The lawsuit contends Eric Meyers was walking along Ramblewood Drive near Van Dyke Road on Dec. 29 when he was hit by a car driven by Willie James Morris, who was delivering newspapers.
The lawsuit seeks damages in excess of $15,000 for negligence, loss of earnings and support, pain, suffering and for funeral expenses.
Media General is the parent company of the Tampa Tribune, TBO.com and WFLA News Channel 8.
