TALLAHASSEE - It seems as if Florida State might be testing fate.
The first time the Seminoles wore black jerseys was Oct. 21, 2006. The opponent was Boston College. The result was a 24-19 FSU loss.
On Saturday, in what apparently has become an annual tradition, the Seminoles have another "Black Out" game. Again, the opponent is Boston College.
"You thought about a curse," senior CB Tony Carter said with a smile. "And maybe we shouldn't wear them if we were being superstitious. But I don't believe in all of that."
The Seminoles are 1-1 in black jerseys.
"We won in them last year," Coach Bobby Bowden said. "Who did we play? Was it Duke?"
It was. The Seminoles beat the Blue Devils 25-6.
ON THE MEND: Bowden said he expects the Seminoles to be almost 100 percent healthy heading into Saturday's game. He said no player who missed the Clemson game or was injured during it was unable to practice.
