Tampa Woman With Hammer Injures Person, Police Say

TAMPA - Carol Ann Sample armed herself with a hammer and struck a person several times Monday morning, injuring his right wrist and back, Tampa police say.
Officers arrested her at 10:45 a.m. Monday.
She had cocaine residue in her purse, officers say.
Sample, 50, of Tampa, was charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
She remained in Orient Road Jail today. No bail was set.
