AirTran To Add $15 Fee For 1st Checked Bag

AirTran Airways said today it will add a $15 fee for the first checked piece of luggage effective Dec. 5.
The Orlando-based airline will continue to charge $25 for a second checked bag and $50 for additional checked bags beyond two.
Customers who purchased tickets on or before Tuesday will not be charged for the first bag.
Business Class travelers and A+ Rewards Elite members will be exempt from both the first and second bag charges.
