Eight members of a Tampa Bay-area crime ring involved in a multimillion-dollar scheme to export and exploit Florida's marine resources have been arrested, according to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.
The scheme was cracked following a six-month undercover investigation by the fish and wildlife agency, and there might be federal charges.
The exports were sent to Amsterdam and New York.
