GALLERY OPENS IN DADE CITY: The Gallery opens today in downtown Dade City, showcasing the work of local artists.
The Dade City Youth Council will host an opening reception from 7 to 9 tonight. The gallery will be open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Dec. 31. The Gallery is at 14125 Seventh St. in Dade City.

AN ODD PAIR: Bishop McLaughlin Catholic High School will be performing the female version of Neil Simon's adult comedy "The Odd Couple." The performance is not intended for students younger than 12.
Show times are 7 p.m. today and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday in the Eleanor Dempsey Performing Arts Center.
Tickets will be sold at the door. Students and seniors get in for $5, adults for $8.

HORTON AND THE CAT SING: The Saint Leo University Drama Ministry will present four performances of "Seussical," a musical based on the beloved works of children's author Dr. Seuss, through Sunday at Marmion Center on the university's main campus.
Admission to all performances is free and the public is invited.
Performance times are 7 p.m. today and Saturday, and 2 p.m. Sunday.
University Drama Ministry is a project of Saint Leo's University Ministry. Students participating in University Drama Ministry present a stage work each semester. "Seussical" brings to life the Cat in the Hat, Horton and other memorable characters created by Theodore Geisel. The music and lyrics are by Stephen Flaherty and Lynn Ahrens.
Saint Leo University's main campus is at 33701 State Road 52, four miles east of Interstate 75. The Marmion Center is at the west end of campus. Parking is available outside the center and in nearby campus lots.
GET YOUR MOTOR RUNNING: The 24th annual Zephyrhills Fall Autofest runs through Sunday at Festival Park, 2738 U.S. 301, about three miles south of town. The gates will open at 8 a.m. daily.
There will be a swap meet featuring original and replica auto parts; slot machines, farm equipment, barber chairs, Coca-Cola gear and other collectibles; collector car auctions Saturday and Sunday; more than 200 cars for sale or trading; a car and truck show, and dirt track racing.

RUMMAGING AROUND: St. Andrew the First Called Orthodox Church, 4633 Glissade Drive in New Port Richey, will host it annual rummage sale from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. Shop for Christmas. Items include jewelry, household items, fine china and crystal, bric-a-brac and appliances.
There will be homemade pierogies and baked goods for sale. The church is one block north of State Road 54 and one block west of U.S. 19. For information, call (727) 847-9900.
TALENTED EDUCATORS: Pasco County schools employees will compete in a "So You Think You've Got Talent" show at 7 p.m. at the River Ridge Center for the Arts in New Port Richey. Proceeds from the event will support the Take Stock in Children scholarship program.
The school with the best representation - students and employees - will receive a $500 grant.

KAYAKING IN THE PARK: The Salt Springs Alliance, a residents' support organization for Werner-Boyce Salt Springs State Park, will sponsor its second kayak event of the fall season. Bring a kayak, or rent one from a local kayak shop, to 9120 Old Post Road, Port Richey, for a 9:30 a.m. launch. The group will paddle to Durney Key.
Kayakers should bring proper safety equipment, a drink and snack. The group will return to the launch site by noon The launch fee is $5 per kayak. For information, go to www.saltspringsalliance.com or call (727) 816-1890.
