A Lutz man who robbed a Land O' Lakes bank Friday has been arrested, Pasco County deputies say.
Deputies have arrested Mark Anthony Thomson, 35, of 18830 Carr Drive.
Thomson had a .22-caliber riffle Friday afternoon when he entered a Heritage Bank at 23300 State Road 54, pointed the gun at a teller and left with an undisclosed amount of money, deputies say. No one was hurt.
Thomson was arrested 10 minutes after leaving the bank when his Dodge Intrepid became disabled about a mile from the bank. He drove over a barricade on State Road 54, got out of the car and went into the woods, deputies say.
The rifle was recovered.
The car he drove had been stolen from Hillsborough County, deputies say.
Thomson was charged with robbery with a firearm and grand theft auto. His bail was set at $155,000.
