THE DIFFERENCE: Ryan Gallagher and James Hamilton rushed for 70 yards each and both scored a touchdown to lead the Mustangs in Coach Scott Schmitz's final game as Mitchell coach.

GAME NOTES: Sunlake lost the ball to fumbles on its first two possessions and Mitchell threw an interception on its first possession. ... Each team only had one possession in the third quarter - Marlow Bradham scored a 12-yard touchdown to finish a 10-play, 72-yard drive for the Mustangs and Mike Shiver rushed in from the 3 to end the Seahawks' only scoring drive, a 12 play, 51-yard drive. ... Sunlake quarterback Tommy Valez was 8-for-19 for 66 yards, completing six passes to Chris Harrington for 63 yards. Valez also caught an 18-yard halfback pass from Darren Kanhai. ... Mitchell QB Cody Van De Boe only completed one of seven passes for 2 yards and an interception. ... Schmitz finished with an overall record of 36-66 in nine years at Mitchell. He also started the River Ridge program in 1992, and finished with a career record of 74-102. ... Sunlake, only in its second year of existence, celebrated its first Senior Night, honoring eight senior players.

STAT OF THE GAME: Mitchell held the Seahawks to only 24 yards rushing on 20 carries and 108 total yards.
