THE DIFFERENCE: Special teams. Riverview's LeMarkus Dennis scooped up a blocked field goal on his own 3-yard line and ran it back 97 yards for a touchdown. Linebacker Devin Ray, who has led the county in tackles most of the season, intercepted two passes and ran one back 46 yards for a touchdown.
GAME NOTES: After being shut down by Durant a week ago, Riverview got back to its running ways with Ronnie Johnson running exclusively in the first half. He finished with 22 carries for 101 yards. ... Brandon quarterback Josh Celerin completed 9 of 26 passes for 165 yards and two interceptions. ... Perhaps the biggest defensive stop came during the last Brandon possession. With 2:40 left in the game, Brandon had the ball on its own 41. After a 3-yard pass, an incomplete pass and no yards on a run, the team faced fourth-and-7. Sharks lineman Chad Foster (6-foot-4, 220 pounds) broke through the line and slammed Celerin (5-11, 165) to the ground, causing him to fumble and hand the game to the Sharks.
