Manatee Deputies Make Arrest In October Slaying

Manatee deputies arrested a Bradenton man they say killed a man whose body was found in a Palmetto palm tree farm in October.
Thomas Pack, 28, of 207 10th Ave. E., was arrested on murder charges Saturday in Sarasota, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.
He is accused of killing 28-year-old Emerson Martin, who was found dead in Palmetto on October 27.
With the help of Sarasota police and deputies, Pack was arrested in the 3000 block of Bunche Street, in Sarasota.
Pack was taken to the Sarasota County Jail.
Detectives say they are still trying to determine why Martin was killed.
