TAMPA - Detectives are asking the public for help in finding a woman who was expected to throw a birthday party on Saturday for her 2-year-old daughter, authorities said.
Jennifer Denise Johnson, 31, of Tampa, was reported missing at 7:55 p.m. Saturday after family members became concerned when Johnson was not at home for the party, the Tampa Police Department said.
Detectives believe that Johnson may be in danger, Tampa police spokeswoman Laura McElroy said in a statement. Johnson was last seen 11 p.m. Friday night at the Apollo Club, 5110 N. 40th St., arguing with her ex-boyfriend, Vincent Brown, McElroy said.
Brown, 39, and Johnson went to his parents' house on East Cayuga Street about 3 a.m. Saturday, McElroy said.
Detectives are trying to find Brown and speak with him, McElroy said.
Brown's vehicle is described as a black four-door 1996 Infiniti I-30 with chrome rims and Florida tag number X760TK.
Anyone with information can call the Tampa Police Department at (813) 231-6130.
