Crews from the state Division of Forestry and local fire rescue late Tuesday night contained a brushfire that blazed through 180 acres in northeast Pasco County.
The wildfire started about 2 p.m. near Duck Lake Canal and River roads, about 3 miles east of Dade City, Pasco County Fire Rescue officials said.
No buildings were threatened, no evacuations were ordered and no one was hurt.
The fire was contained shortly before midnight, and crews will return in the morning to check on hotspots, authorities say.
The Division of Forestry is investigating what caused the wildfire.
