Like a lot of Tampa Bay area residents, bundled up Art Robinson conceded Monday morning that he doesn't like to get cold. Robinson was waiting near the Ballast Point Pier during a chilly sunrise for the fitness class he teaches to begin next door. This morning will be another chilly one, but not nearly as frigid as Wednesday morning, when a secondary dose of cold, crisp Canadian air will sink southward into Florida. Temperatures tonight will plunge into the middle and upper 30s in Tampa and dip below freezing north of the area. A gradual warming trend is expected after that, but it will be Friday before the mercury climbs back above 70 for daytime highs, forecasters say.
