READY FOR YOUR CLOSE-UP?

Prepare for the holidays by getting a family portrait — with your pet. Pet photographer Nicole Gellar will be at Hyde Park Village's Downtown Dogs, 1631 W. Snow Ave., Tampa, on Friday and Sunday. Portraits are $25 for one 8-by-10 or two 5-by-7s, and a portion of the proceeds goes to the Humane Society of Tampa Bay. (Nicole was able to donate $50 from her previous event.) SHOPPING AT THE SHELTER

Get all your shopping done during the Humane Society of Pinellas' Holiday Bazaar from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday at 3040 State Road 590, Clearwater. More than 20 vendors will be offering gifts, with proceeds to support the shelter. Call (727) 797-7722 for information.

HOLIDAY OPEN HOUSE

Learn about the work of service animals when Southeastern Guide Dogs presents a free tour of its facilities from 9 a.m. to noon Dec. 6 at 4210 E. 77th St. E., Palmetto. The event includes holiday activities, food for pets and people, and a chance to experience how it feels to be led by a guide dog. For information call (941) 729-5665.
