CLEARWATER - A Coach purse for $20? An Ann Taylor sweater for $10? Cache' jeans for $18?

No, you're not dreaming.

Clothes Mentor, which sells sought after brands in "gently-used" condition at big savings, is coming to Clearwater on Saturday.

And not a moment too soon considering the economy and the impending holiday shopping season.

If that Dooney & Bourke handbag or that Hermes scarf in your closet don't excite you like they used to, Clothes Mentor pays cash-on-the-spot for high quality brand name clothing, shoes, accessories and designer purses, right in the store.

It's unlike consignment shops that pay you if and when the item sells.

"We're a totally different form of shopping," says Clearwater store owner Gisela Iglesias. "We fit the growing style, brand and value consciousness of Tampa Bay women who love fashion and adore 80 percent savings."

Iglesias is hopeful for a big opening and she says she thinks the purse rack will get picked over quickly.

The Clothes Mentor opens at 10 a.m. Saturday in Clearwater at 25897 U.S. 19 N.
